Accuracy and best-effort curation

Every event cites primary sources, and numeric claims are verified against a verbatim source quote by the ingestion pipeline. Where a number could not be verified from an open-access source, we use zero rather than fabricate. We still make mistakes — submit corrections at /contribute or open an issue at the public GitHub repository.

No predictions

This site is a historical and current record. It does not forecast outbreaks, predict transmission, model intervention scenarios, or provide risk scores for individuals. Outbreak prediction is the responsibility of public-health agencies with access to private surveillance data and trained epidemiologists.
