A German national medically evacuated from the MV Hondius cluster is under observation at Düsseldorf University Hospital (UKD). One asymptomatic contact is undergoing testing; a separate German woman is hospitalised with suspected hantavirus pending laboratory confirmation. Eight German nationals were on the vessel, including one crew member. Reports note no evidence of community-acquired transmission in Germany — all monitoring activity is travel-related and linked to the MV Hondius cluster. The German woman who died on the ship is already counted within the multi-country MV Hondius record.
